PETEY & DOOLEY- the Doberkids


Who are we?

Fetch Dog Treats is a 3-person, 2-dog family from Augusta, Georgia. Kevin's in charge
of finding all the earth/dog friendly stuff for the store, Tara's in charge of baking the dog
treats, Felix is in charge of gnawing on  the treats (which sometimes double as teething
cookies) and Petey and Dooley are pretty much just in charge.

Why?

When our Doberman, Petey, lost interest in his store-bought treats, he seemed to forget
that he'd ever heard words like "sit" or "stay" before. When his Dober-brother Dooley
came along, we knew we would be in trouble if we didn't find a solution. As we searched
for the most irresistible puppy reward, we realized it would be easier (and healthier) to
make it ourselves. We used all natural ingredients...good stuff like whole wheat flower,
home-made peanut butter, carob chips, and whole pumpkin. We roll the dough by hand,
and bake the treats extra crunchy for healthy teeth.  And they contain NO SUGAR, SALT
or PRESERVATIVES.

The more time we spent experimenting with recipes and ending up covered in flour, the
more we realized how much we loved it and wanted to do more. Running a dog bakery
became the favorite choice of all our ideas that fell under the category of "ways we can
make a living and still be able to hang out with each other and the dogs all day." So we
decided to give it a try.

We spent a year baking out of our kitchen in Nashville and in July, 2002, we moved back
home and opened our retail shop in Augusta, GA.  The shop offers fresh baked treats
(for dogs AND cats) as well as lots of fun dog-themed items for you and your canine
companions.

Dooley comes to the store with us most every day and Petey comes about once a week.  
Petey has a barking issue- the issue being he loves to do it.  So we try to subject our
customers to it on a limited basis.  Petey, however, keeps up with his buddies by writing
to them each month in his own column, Petey's Ponderings, in the Fetch Newsletter.  
Dooley's pretty much happy just eating the newsletter.

Stop by to see the boys anytime- they love doggie visits!  And leashed pets are always
welcome in the store.
